[ it's really funny actually how saya just cuts right to the point of the things he's been thinking about. ]

Yeah. Everything we've seen so far are...normal city things. Malls and shops and grocery stores and conveniences for just enjoying life here. And since we always have money we can just buy whatever we want without worrying about it. It's a weird...uncanny valley sort of thing? [ is that right. it's close enough. ]

[squelching]

Or, like... lotus-eaters? [a very funny thing to say to nico "son of hades" pjo.] It's a nice city. It wouldn't be a bad place to live without the competition, if any of us decided they didn't want to go home anymore.

[resumed]

[ yes sorry to poor saya because he does sort of make a face that he quickly smooths over at that. ]

Yeah, sure. That's another way to look at it, especially when you think about the part we don't know how time works here. We have days of the week and times, but we have no idea what month or year it is. Or if time is really moving at all, or if we're just stuck in an endless loop.

[ oh god actually he hates this line of thought, bye. he's about to say something regarding the city itself, but something catches his attention. ]

[she was about to say something, but now she's just staring at him blankly.]

One of the people who had thought about not going home if this place wasn't currently what it was.

Good. [ he does not explain why. ] I know there're some people who might've thought about it back before we knew anything, but...I guess it's just nice to know for sure.

Are you worried about the people who wanted to stay here?

[resumed]

Maybe a little. Mostly because we don't know the true nature of this place, and it doesn't seem fair to trick someone into staying without knowing that much.

[squelching]

Right... Like something to lure people in before they fully understand what they're agreeing to.

[resumed]

Yeah. People never read the fine print on things. It's the easiest way to trap them forever.

[squelching]

... Yeah.

And this world is trying to trap us forever already. It would be bad if anyone wanted to stay and tried to do something about it.

[resumed]

Exactly. [ ... ] It's probably something we should start asking people just to make sure everyone's on the same page. Or at least that everyone is aware of what might be happening here before anybody makes any decisions.

I know there's some information going around. But I don't know if everyone has seen it.

Probably not. I've been trying to share stuff with people as I come across it, but it's hard to know if they've already seen it or if it's new. But it's probably better to repeat something than not say it at all by now.

[squelching]

Yeah. Hmm... Have you brought any of this up with the team leads?

[resumed]

I've been sharing all the notes we've been getting and theorizing with a few of them. Varying results though, but that doesn't surprise me too much. They all have different opinions on what's going on.
