datz is looking a whole lot better than he did when he got back from cyoa, at least — he's cleaned up the blood and changed into less wrecked clothes, and while he's still banged up and using his scarf as a makeshift sling, there aren't any open wounds anymore. he's still doing his best to appear cheerful whenever anyone looks at him, and may have taken some pretty strong painkillers to help with that. it's fine.
every so often there's some stomping on the floor above them, and he summons an apple to chuck it at the ceiling in response with his good arm. ]
