[ i will say that it's likely danny will get bored petting it before it does because they do like being around people possibly more than nico does at any given moment. ]

I think it was at first, but I try to bring them with me when I can, and if they're not with me, sometimes they're with Will. [ the puff chirps at will's name. ] The only time I leave them for long periods of time is Saturdays, but usually they keep themselves pretty occupied by chasing bottlecaps and trying to shred some of my socks. [ there are small, needle-like clawsies attached to this smoke cloud. ]

Anyway...Cocoa Puff, Danny. Danny, Cocoa Puff.

Yup. [ the puff's ears flick like a cat's, and it stretches out a little so it's closer to danny's hand while staying on nico's shoulder. ] They weren't really in a good situation when we first met. So when we were able to, it was only fair to offer them their own freedom.

[ this is an extremely condensed version of what happened, and it's a little obvious there is more to it that he's not willing to say publicly judging by how he's saying this, but it's close enough to the truth. ]

Mostly the way they're created. Which is sort of a complicated story, but...think of them as a pure being. They're very much themselves and nothing else. [ danny may have a few rights at another time if he desires. the puff is oblivious to nico's plight and is digging its claws into his hoodie as it purrs(?) with the pets. ]
