And at some point when my cologne started to run out I got it in my head to set up the motion detector and the fence so I could make a break for it and know if she managed to wake up enough to come after me.
Pretty pathetic plan, but... yeah. I wound up hiding out in the prison since I knew it would shut off her powers if she came inside. But things just got out of control.
It's bad enough that I let it get that bad. It's bad enough that I said all of that stupid crap that made her angry in the first place.
It wasn't something I said. It was something I told her I did, which was a lie, but she believed was true. She thought I was going around killing off a bunch of yokai for money and boasting about it on my website to get more clients, and she thought that because I wanted her to. The only problem is, it turns out she was a yokai herself...
I know I must sound like I feel really sorry for myself, but it's more that - any idiot could see that this tendency of mine was going to get me killed one day. I can't even be that angry about it.
